Los Angeles, CA – December 4, 2007 – The Los Angeles Business Journal, one of the leading business publications in Los Angeles, recently revealed its list of the 100 fastest-growing privately held companies, and 90th on the list was El Clasificado — one of the few Hispanic-owned businesses recognized on the list.
Almost 20 years since the Spanish-language classifieds weekly publication was established, the organization continues to experience an increase in circulation and revenue, despite the trend of declining revenues faced by major newspapers and other Spanish print media nationwide. The Associated Press recently revealed that total advertising revenue for newspapers in the third quarter of 2007 slid 7.4% from the previous year, while revenues for El Clasificado increased by almost 24% during the same period, following what seems to be now a regular pattern.
