Oct. 27, 2020, El Clasificado won an EPPY Award for “Best Promotional/Marketing Campaign with under 1 million unique monthly visitors”

There has been a great deal of uncertainty in 2020, but one thing that has never wavered is El Clasificado’s commitment to creating premier advertising and marketing solutions for underserved Latino Small Businesses. During the pandemic, these offerings were offered to clients completely free of charge. This dedication to serving local communities without the need for financial gain is at the cornerstone of the El Clasificado mission. The brand made a name for itself under the umbrella of classified ads and job postings. Today, El Clasificado has flourished into an omnichannel digital agency for small businesses that want to do business with underserved consumers in Latino communities throughout the U.S.

On Oct. 27, 2020, El Clasificado’s trophy case got even bigger when the brand received its second EPPY Award in the category of “Best Promotional/Marketing Campaign with under 1 million unique monthly visitors.” This year marked the 25th annual EPPY Awards which honor the best media-affiliated websites in the country across 31 diverse categories. The wining project was conducted by the Marketing team, headed by Director of Marketing, Frank Zepeda. Titled, “Stimulus Package Extended to Help Latino-Serving Small Businesses” the goal of the project was to help 100 small businesses who serve or are located in Latino communities get online.

The EC Stimulus Package included creating a website for qualifying businesses in Spanish or English, optimizing Google My Business, promoting premium ElClasificado.com ads, measuring analytics and having their business added to over 50 directory listings.

This initiative to help small businesses move to digital platforms generated more than 1,000 leads for El Clasificado. To date, over 1000 businesses have applied, 700 qualified and 500 web sites with digital campaigns have been launched with free campaigns. Hundreds have received significant results and converted to paid campaigns. El Clasificado is reinvesting this success back into the community by continuing to offer more free marketing campaigns to business sectors that are still struggling through the pandemic.

“With our employees financially safe, we were finally able help others. El Clasificado exists because of the small businesses that advertise with us every week. With this project, we wanted to help those advertisers who needed an online presence and were suffering during the COVID-19 economic crisis,” CEO and Founder, Martha de la Torre said.

Previously, El Clasificado won an EPPY Award for “Best Classified Website in 2014.” Shortly after, this category was removed altogether, unfortunately prohibiting any future awards in this field for El Clasificado.

The EPPY Award could not have been possible without a trusted partnership with Uberall and the hard work and dedication of El Clasificado’s employees.
